Success at the 2024 East Midlands Property Dinner

2014, fresh-faced, and straight out of uni’. Josh joined BWB 10 years ago as a graduate consultant, and co-founded Deetu just two years later. A star in the making?

Fast forward to 2024, now Director of Deetu and Director of Place at BWB. Un-aged since joining, Josh has proved himself an industry star having won Emerging Property Person of the Year Award at the East Midlands Property Dinner.

Becoming a pivotal figure in the placemaking sphere, delivering multi-award-winning placemaking and digital strategies, Josh Dickerson went on to say:

I feel incredibly grateful. This year marks a decade with BWB Consulting – a journey filled with growth, challenges, and the opportunity to help shape Deetu.

Being his usual humble-self, Josh continued, expressing his gratefulness:

A huge thank you to my colleagues Anthony Hart (Nottingham Regional BWB Director) and Iwan Lloyd-Smith (joint co-founder and Director of Deetu) for the nomination, the judging panel for selecting me, and the countless others who have helped me get to this point. This recognition really means a great deal to me, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your encouragement and support.

Here’s to the next ten years of learning, growing, and making a positive impact on people, planet and place!

Anthony Hart, who also attended the event, said about Josh’s achievement:

This is a fantastic and well-deserved achievement for Josh, who has been pivotal in growing BWB’s abilities and expertise in the placemaking sector with his portfolio including successful planning applications for the ambitiously sustainable masterplans at Trent Basin in Nottingham and Stocking Farm in Leicester, informing the future of one of the UK’s largest brownfield sites at Greyfriars in Northampton and impacting policy for the South Yorkshire Active Travel Implementation Plan.
